I didn't mean to hurt you

I didn't mean to make you cry

So now as I sit

I wonder why 

And was it all worth it

I could die a thousand times

I know you value privacy

I didn't see the harm I caused

Because I'm a fool

I am especially careless 

With my loose lips

I could try better to conceal a secret

And avoid the pain I cause next time

I could just learn to care for others 

Than overreact the next time

I should have said I love you
