Fading colors

And broken promises

You are so brave 

And you stand up tall

Every step I take

I stumble and fall

Broken promises 

From my brain to my feet

Fading colors

Are still resilient

And be

Seen through lens and light

Somewhat past the eye 

On the shoulders 

Of mother's

And their glorious eyes

Fading colors are true colors

Because there is nothing purely

True except for Jesus' love for you

And America and it's trees

That stand lush and pristine

God has something to see you through this moment as he does for the fading colors of the flag.. it's the gift of this struggle to stand for the anthem or kneel in prayer. We must continue to have arguments and conversations

And as we all are individual

Are needs are simple 

And yes we are equal

Continue to wear your colors 

Like camouflage

Because there is no color that represents you except red white blue

Fading colors that I'm quite used to them
