Take me as I am

Barefoot and homely

Anywhere but here, I say

Anywhere to our place

Take me as I am

Lead the way

Shine your light to guide me

Perhaps to a grander place

It can be a castle in the sky

It can be an underwater kingdom

It can be another mixed up place

But I long for change

So take me as I am 

With my ill fitting clothes

And all fouled words make shift

paper air planes can't lift me

Walking across the desert for me 

To find some rain to wash away my sorrow

And humiliation 

And please just lead the way
