Red in sunlight

Mauve or do I dare

In the moonlight black

With a humbled steely stare

Spikey lashes and bags and lines

And freckles on skin

Scars and patches

Lay on top of what might have been

Hair fallen out

Receding hairline

Fuller brows and fuller pout

Weight issues

And stigma

I declare I'm fine

I get older and wiser 

But my eyes are a reddish plummy gold
